TIME Magazine Interview
Are You a High-Achieving Woman?
Are you a woman who would describe yourself as focused? Goal-oriented? Ambitious? Self-motivated? Takes pride in your career? Loves a to-do list? If you answered yes to these questions, chances are you are a high-achieving woman.
Our Practice
Charism Counseling Center provides therapy for clients in Chicago. The word “charism” (pronounced “care-ism”) has its roots in the Greek language and means “favor” or “gift.” The foundation of our work at Charism Counseling Center is grounded in the belief that everyone is born with unique gifts and that experiences in life can interrupt, mask or dim these talents.
What Is Therapy for High-Achieving Women?
So what exactly is therapy for high-achieving women? It begins with our clients. Our clients are predominantly women, who are challenged by competing personal and professional responsibilities. Many would describe themselves as “high-achieving.” They are smart, thoughtful, committed, ambitious and goal-oriented. From the outside, they seem to be living an ideal life. And for a while, this perception felt accurate.
