Our Practice

The word “charism” (pronounced “care-ism”) has its roots in the Greek language and means “favor” or “gift.” The foundation of our work at Charism Counseling Center is grounded in the belief that everyone is born with unique gifts and that experiences in life can interrupt, mask or dim these talents.

Our Clients

Our clients are predominantly women, who are challenged by competing personal and professional demands. They are smart, thoughtful, committed and goal-oriented. From the outside, they seem to be living an ideal life. They “present well” but often feel like imposters on the inside. They have devoted significant amounts of time and energy into roles defined by their association with others—colleague, parent, partner, spouse—often at the expense of their own needs.
